Martial offered a winning goal for Man United when they beat Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford on Saturday (28/10/2017), in the 11th week of the English Premier League 2017-2018. “Martial is a great weapon,” said Neville told Sky Sports. “If you defender and survive for 60-65 minutes with players like Marcus Rashford and Martial who also have the speed of going into the field, that would be devastating to the soul.
“I do not think Martial is worried about being a starter or not, because his role for the team is huge, he is like Solskjaer in mid 1999 who is able to contribute greatly as a coating,” he said.
Solskjaer is one of the best supersubs Man United has ever had. The proof, he successfully presented the winning goal in the Champions League final 1998-1999 Bayern Munich goalkeeper only through his first touch after entering as a substitute in the final minutes of the game.
